Bushehr is known as the main southern gate of plateau of Iran, was a connection ring of the east and west civilization of the ancient world. The main feature of Bushehr that has a serious effect on its music and culture is multiculturalism. Bushehr due to its specific political and commercial situation in the 18th to 20th centuries has become the most important port of Iran and a center for migrations of various ethnic groups from near or far countries. For this reason, music and dance of Bushehr contain the expression of the presence of other cultures such as African, Indian or the Arabs. Bushehr culture has been supported by a great historical and ancient background. Cuneiform inscription of Shotrok Nokhondeh , old buildings, and ancient brass materials express the importance and prosperity of the region during the second millennium B.C in Elams Empire. |
